California Vacation

Alan and I took a much needed vacation to San Diego. We stayed in a town just outside of San Diego called La Jolla. What an amazing place! We went away for a week, and came back with a lifetime of memories. It was hard to leave the 72 degree weather, but we'll definitely go back to this little piece of heaven! We also fit in a few fun days at Disneyland. We had a BLAST!

Our hotel in La Jolla. Only three blocks from the beach!

Walking to the beach!
Going to own a bungalow on this street one day...

Watching the sunset

The next day... at the beach!

We drove to Seaport Village to meet up with our good friend Kevin. He was in town for the Comic Con. We met him and and a new friend Jessica for coffee at this great bookstore called Upstart Crow. BEST. Coffee. Ever!

Kevin and Jessica
Jessica writes a book blog called The Spinecracker

Ran into some pirates...

...and some really good food

The next day, Disneyland!
Here we are waiting for the bus.

Roller coaster at California Adventure

Alan going on the roller coaster...I don't do big roller coasters.
I'm a wimp!
I will go on Space Mountain & The Tower of Terror over and over and over again! So fun!!

Waiting for the train at Disney.
You can see the Tower of Terror in the background!

Went and saw Captain EO. Yes. Captian EO in 3D! So cheesy!

So much cheese...made us hungry

We had funnel cake, churros, the most AMAZING corn dogs and pineapple floats

We treated ourselves to an unbelievable lunch at Blue Bayou.
(It's the restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean.)

We enjoyed lunch under the moonlight and beautiful lanterns at 2 p.m.
So romantic! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Alan and I had the best time! Can't wait to go back!
