Staycation

Alan and I celebrated our 6th anniversary over the weekend. Wow, time flies! We planned a fun getaway to a far-off, exotic city called Phoenix - a "staycation". For four fun-filled, relaxing days we stayed here: The Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort.

During the summers all the resorts around town have great deals. We stayed here after our wedding and thought it would be really fun to go back. We had meal vouchers included in our stay which was a great deal in itself! The resort has a great lazy river, fabulous pools, food and miniature golfing. Here's a picture of the main pool.

The hotel suite was set up like a small apartment. When you first walk in you step into the sitting room with a couch, desk, TV and mini fridge. The middle section was the bathroom. On the far end was the bedroom. Very cozy.

So, if you are ever in need of a vacation or need to get "out of town" and want to go on a staycation, we highly recommend the Squaw Peak Resort.

On a side note, after we got home yesterday, we turned on the TV while we unpacked. We don't have cable, so we only get about six channels, one of which is the ION channel. All they seem to play is the Ghost Whisperer. So, I've become a fan just because it's the only thing on. Anyway, the episode that happened to be on, on our Anniversary, was called "Ghost Bride." Cool thing was that the dead bride that came back to haunt her husband was wearing my wedding dress! Pretty cool, right? If you want to see the episode go here, watch, and see my dress!
