Have you ever lost something and it just blows your mind how you went about losing it in the first place? Maybe you’ve lost a sock, chap stick, car keys, glasses, or even jewelry. Well I lost my iPod. Alan gave me a wonderful birthday present 2 years ago – an iPod Nano. He even got it engraved. It reads "Alissa’s Nano Jammer”. It was so sweet and thoughtful. I loved my Nano! About a year ago, my iPod went missing. I thought I had misplaced it and that it would show up any day. However, days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and I just totally gave up hope of finding it. Alan and I looked everywhere!
The last time we remembered seeing it was in our gym bag. We finally came to the realization that it probably fell out of our bag on one of our visits to the gym. We kept checking the gym’s lost and found; unfortunately it was never turned in. So, I totally assumed that someone, not very considerate, found my wonderful nano and kept it for themselves. Every time I went to the gym, I was always on the lookout for my iPod. Someone came out very lucky that day with a cool iPod filled with glorious music!
However, today, I would like to announce to everyone, I FOUND MY NANO!!!! I have no idea how it got where it was, but there it was! It was in a closet… a closet that I hardly go into. Stuck inside of a notebook filled with paint color samples! For those of you who don’t know, I’m a color consultant. I was gathering up all my samples for a color consultation with my brother-in-law, and as I looked inside my notebook, low and behold….my nano! It was just sitting there, staring right up at me! I totally flipped out. I started screaming and said some things I cannot repeat, but they were curse words of happiness–I swear! I went running to Alan to show him what I found…he couldn’t believe it either.
Alan charged it up right away, and it has been by my side ever since. I’ve missed the little guy. I have no idea how it got stuck in my color notebook, but I’d like to thank John, my brother-in-law, for helping me find my iPod! Thanks John! Without your color consultation I would have never found my nano….well today anyway! By the way John, your house is going to be beautiful–in a very masculine-bachelorish yet girl friendly way!! :) Congratulations on your new home!
So, if you’ve lost something, just keep an open mind. What went missing just might turn up where you’d least expect it!
You go, Girl. Love it. Thanks for the good read. I just found my Nano after having misplaced it for months. Funny how we miss those little buggers. Take pictures of this new home. I'd love to see how it turns out...
ReplyDeleteAwesome! We laughed so hard reading your blog! Congrats on finding your nano!
ReplyDeleteI'm soooo happy for you that your Nano has been found!...My theory is that it sprouted little legs and walked right into that color notebook to play hide & seek! Did you pray to St. Anthony? (the patron saint for lost things) If not, next time, try that.
ReplyDeleteYea for you and the nano who thought he would forever live in the book ! Freedom ! Bet you have lots of new things to load into it ! Glad you have some color consulting to do, keeps the samples dust free !
